- Trainees or special visitors on educational exchange (H-3 visas)
- Transfer of executives or managers within the same company (L visas)
- People with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement (O visas)
- Athletes, entertainers and presenters (P visas)
- Participants in international cultural exchange programs (Q visas), and qualified derivatives.

The face-to-face interview exemption was authorized for those applying for the visa for the first time, or for those people who renew it in the same category within the 48 months following the expiration of the previous visa.
The exemption will be for the consideration of officials, as the statement says “embassies and consulates may still require an in-person interview, depending on the case and local conditions.”
How long can you get the United States visa without an interview?
Although this measure had already been implemented previously, the same statement reports that the date to obtain the visa without the need for a face-to-face interview was extended until December 31, 2023.
