A week after sacking manager Frank Lampard, Everton announced the signing of Sean Dyche for the team’s command. The new coach signed a contract valid until June 2025 with the Liverpool team.

Despite having agreed with Dyche, the 51-year-old Englishman was Everton’s second option. The club had tried the Argentine Marcelo Bielsa, former coach of Leeds United and with experience in Premier League. However, “El Loco” did not reach an agreement with the team after meeting with leaders in London.
This will not be Sean Dyche’s first experience with the English football elite. The coach became known for coaching Burnley for almost 10 years, taking the team from the second division to the first with a cast without major investments.
Now Dyche will have another challenging task ahead of him: knocking Everton off the bottom of the league table. The team has not won for eight matches in the Premier League and occupies 19th place, with just 15 points from 20 games.
