Steps to apply for the H-B2 visa

Before applying for H-2B visa classification by USCIS, the petitioner must apply for and receive the Temporary Employment Certification for H-2B workers from the United States Department of Labor.
- The second step is for the petitioner to file a Form I-129 with USCIS and after receiving the Temporary Employment Certification for H-2B employment from the Department of State.
- The petitioner will need to file Form I-129 with USCIS.
- Prospective workers outside the United States apply for a visa or admission after USIS approves their Form I-129.
