The European Parliament has elected this Wednesday the Luxembourg socialist Marc Angel as vice president of the chamber to replace Eva Kaili, the also Greek socialist dismissed for her alleged involvement in the Qatar bribery plot and who is in preventive detention in Belgium.
In a process with several rounds of voting, Angel has prevailed over the candidacy of Annalisa Tardino, MEP for Matteo Salvini’s League, and Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield, French representative of Los Verdes.
