Figure skater Zinina spoke about the pressure due to daily filming at the Plushenko Academy
Russian figure skater Anastasia Zinina spoke about training at the academy of two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko. Her words are quoted by Metaratings.
The athlete shared that she felt pressure during classes at Plushenko’s Angels. “We were filmed every day on the ice, during the OFP. It was also unusual for me. As if you are always in sight, on stage, ”Zinina explained. The figure skater added that it was difficult for her to cope with a sense of responsibility during performances at competitions.
Zinina trained with Plushenko from the spring of 2021 until the summer of 2022, when she was expelled from the academy for violating sports discipline. Currently, the 15-year-old figure skater, who owns quadruple jumps, is engaged under the guidance of Alexei Vasilevsky.
At the 2023 Russian Championship, Zinina took sixth place. The best results of the current season for the figure skater were the gold of the Moscow Championship and the bronze of the Russian Grand Prix stage.
