The Taiwanese company ASUS, engaged in the production of electronics and computer equipment, announced the suspension of deliveries to Russia due to problems with logistics that arose as a result of sanctions imposed against Moscow. It is reported by RBC.
According to the company, the sanctions have led to serious problems throughout the supply chain, affecting both logistics and banking services, as a result of which the import of electronics has practically stopped. In addition, ASUS announced that they are providing assistance to all employees of the company and their families who find themselves in a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine – about one million dollars will be allocated to the victims’ relief fund.
Earlier it was reported that ASUS will consider the possibility of evacuating workers and businesses from Russia. The possibility of the company leaving the Russian market was announced by the Minister of Economy of Taiwan, Wang Meihua, commenting on Kyiv’s calls for the company to end relations with Russia.
On March 4, it was reported that Microsoft announced its withdrawal from Russia. According to the company, the decision to stop the sale of goods and services in Russia was caused by the situation in Ukraine. Microsoft coordinates its work with the US, EU and UK governments.
