Samsung intends to stop packing all its smartphones with free chargers. This is reported by SamMobile.
Journalists refer to messages in Twitter, according to which the Korean company will stop packing all its phones with charging accessories. According to the source, Samsung has already warned European retailers that the new smartphones will not be bundled with a charging adapter.
Samsung abandoned free chargers for its flagship smartphones about a year ago, but accessories were present in boxes with sub-flagships and other inexpensive models. The insider said that the first phones without a charging adapter will be the Galaxy A13, Galaxy A23, Galaxy M23 and Galaxy M33.
The journalists noted that Samsung did not officially confirm this fact, but they believe that the source’s message is similar to the truth. According to experts, this decision will allow the company to increase its profits from the sale of low-cost phones, which are traditionally sold with a small margin. “Like Apple, Samsung has said it’s about sustainability and the environment, but obviously it’s also about bottom line,” the authors said.
The first Samsung smartphones that came out without a charging accessory in the kit were the Galaxy S21 series devices. The company explained this decision by concern for the environment.
