iPhone will rise in price

Smartphones of the iPhone 14 series will be more expensive than the flagships of Apple released in 2021. This is reported by the Chinese edition of MyDrivers.

Experts refer to the report of the Taiwanese company TSMC, which is an important partner of Apple in the Asian region. Due to the rise in the cost of components and the shortage of components, the cost of assembling new iPhones will be higher than before. Insiders said that in this regard, TSMC executives told Apple that the production of processors for the iPhone 14 will rise in price.

Top managers of Apple allegedly agreed to new conditions so that nothing threatened the entry of new flagships to the market. From the disclosed information, it follows that under the new contract, TSMC will produce 120-150 thousand units of new chips for its partner. The average cost of producing processors will increase by about 8-10 percent. Journalists believe that for this reason, Tim Cook’s company will be forced to raise prices for its smartphones.

The most affordable current Apple smartphone – iPhone 13 mini – is estimated in Russia at 70 thousand rubles. The most expensive device is the iPhone 13 Pro Max with one terabyte of internal memory – 160 thousand rubles.

Due to production problems at TSMC and Apple, they decided to postpone the release of chips designed according to the three-nanometer process technology. Therefore, the iPhone 14 will receive Apple A16 Bionic components, created using a four-nanometer process technology.

In early February, sources from India revealed the cost of the new iPhone SE, which was approved for sale by the local regulator. According to the report, Apple’s budget smartphone will cost $300, or about 22,000 rubles.
