The first public beta version of Android 16 came out for Google Pixel smartphones
The American corporation Google has released the first public beta version of Android 16 for Pixel smartphones. This was reported in the Blog of Android developers.
According to the developers of the operating system (OS), the process of creating a new version of Android is already in full swing, so “it is time to share a product with users.” OS received the Live Updates function – new dynamic notifications on the blocked phone screen that allow you to track various processes. Also on Android there will be adaptive applications, the interface of which will be adjusted to the screen of any size.
In the new OS, application developers will be able to block the size and orientation of windows in their programs. This will allow them to work without failures on all devices. Advanced Professional Video (APV), the function of determining the scene in night mode and improved support for vertical text rendering were added to the Android 16 camera.
In addition, Google engineers have expanded the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI). In Android 16, they allowed the Gemini neural network assistant to work at one request with several applications at once. So far, the function works only with Google’s proprietary applications, but should appear in third -party programs.
At the end of the 2024th, Google introduced the second beta version of the Android 16 operating system. A full-fledged version of the OS is expected in mid-2025.
