Users of Xiaomi technology accused Apple of plagiarism. This is reported by the publication MyDrivers.
The journalists drew attention to the posts of users on Weibo, in which they compared the announcement of a new presentation by Apple and the invitation of Xiaomi to the event with the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s. The authors note that the announcement of the smartphone took place in 2018, and Apple apparently borrowed the visual style of the device’s advertising campaign.
Social media users drew attention to the visual similarity of the two promo posters, noting that Apple copied the ideas of the Chinese company. “The same fireworks and light textures used in the picture,” noted one of the bloggers. Xiaomi has not responded to the claims of its users.
The announcement of the new Apple presentation took place on October 12. In it, the company invited users to the event, which is scheduled for October 18.
This isn’t the first time Apple has found itself at the center of a scandal. In December 2017, representatives of the Chinese clothing brand Kon accused the American company of stealing their logo. The reason for this is the updated App Store icon.
