An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale shook Southern California on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

According to the USGS, the quake was felt in the coastal portion of Orange and Los Angeles counties.

The earthquake struck at 8:27 local time (16:27 GMT) and the epicenter was about 16 kilometers southwest of the community of San Pedro and 18 kilometers southeast of the coastal town of Rancho Palos Verdes, all located in Los Angeles County. .
