Oded Fehr was born on November 23, 1970 in Tel Aviv. His mother came from the Netherlands and his father was German. Initially, he was fascinated by it, so when he came of age he decided to join the Israeli army marine corps. After 3 years, he finished his service and went to Frankfurt, where he first worked as a security guard for an Israeli airline, and then helped his father run the family business.

The cult “The Mummy” brought him to the top. This is the best film of his career for over two decades

After several failed attempts at becoming an entrepreneur, he joined a drama course out of lack of luck. It was there that his passion and love for the stage was born. Fascinated by acting, he decided to do everything on one card. In 1997 he went to London to study at Bristol Old Vic Thearte School. At that time, he had already appeared in several plays, but he made his professional debut only in the British crime series “Killer Net”. Later, he received a role in the comedy “The Divine Gigolo”, gaining increasing recognition from viewers, but real success was yet to come.

The breakthrough in his career was the action-adventure fantasy film “The Mummy” by Stephen Sommers. He then appeared on screen alongside Brendan Fraser, playing the role of Ardeth Bay. Although its plot was not particularly extensive, it was enough to gain a lot of positive reviews from critics. The success meant that he appeared in the equally hit sequel “The Mummy Returns” and other cult productions, including: in or “One Thousand and One Nights”.

Acting is not his only hobby. What else does Fehr do?

On November 23, 2023, Oded Fehr will celebrate his 53rd birthday. He is still professionally active and his artistic achievements are constantly growing. He recently starred in the film “House of Evil” and also played the role of Admiral Charles Vance in the series “Star Trek: Discovery”.

Privately, he is a happy husband and father. In 2000, he married film producer Rhonda Tollefson, who was seven years older than him, and they had two children, son Atticus and daughter Finley. Apart from acting, he is also passionate about photography and playing the guitar. Sport is also an integral part of his everyday life. He regularly trains hapkido, a type of martial arts, which also fascinated his wife, and he also likes to go hiking.
