Breathless is the story of Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, a babysitter sentenced to more than 700 years in prison in California.
What did you do to receive such an unusual punishment? Zakrzewski was being investigated for “sexually abusing 16 children in his care,” the Orange County district attorney said in a statement, Univision News reported on Nov. 20, 2023.
Zakrzewski was charged last October with 34 felonies, “including lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.”
US authorities added that the individual “received an additional two years and eight months for showing child pornography to a seventeenth child.” They have no doubt that the intention was to “attack him too.”

The babysitter committed the crime for five years
The babysitter is 34 years old and the press emphasizes that “he filmed many of the sexual attacks on the children.”
Zakrzewski’s victims ranged in age from 2 to 12 years old. And he committed that crime “between January 1, 2014 and May 17, 2019,” Univisión reported.

A family hired the babysitter after seeing him on websites. Zakrzewski is from Costa Mesa, a city in California. According to what the American channel reported, he presented himself on the Internet “as a ‘babysitter’, who not only took care of the children, but also gave them a nice ‘friend experience’.”
It is said that it was offered for care services such as tutoring, relationships with older brothers, and babysitting services during nights and holidays.
This family said the subject touched their son “inappropriately.”
The man filled the victims’ parents with even more outrage and pain because of a comment in court.
Univision reported that Zakrzewski “never apologized and said in a statement, ‘I was proud to make his children laugh and all the good moments we shared were one hundred percent authentic.’”
The parents “covered their ears and wept” when they heard him speak. Orange County Prosecutor Todd Spitzer said, “This is a case of innocence shattered and precious childhood stolen from 17 children.”

‘We saw how you turned sexual abuse into a game’ Orange County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Menninger pointed it out to him, according to the Daily Mail.
Before the sentence was pronounced, “the grandmother of one of his victims pleaded with Menninger: ‘A death sentence is too good for him… Please don’t feel sorry for this animal”.
Several parents stated that this “predator stole the souls of our children.”
