MacRumors: Apple will stop producing and selling iPhone 13 mini
Apple will remove one of the most affordable smartphones from sale. This was reported by MacRumors.
Media journalists referred to Bloomberg author Mark Gurman, who on his page in X (formerly Twitter) said that Apple will stop selling the iPhone 13 mini. Thus, the company will finally abandon the production of cheap 5.4-inch devices.
Gourmand noticed that stocks of the iPhone 13 mini had run out. At the moment, judging by the Apple Store online store, the estimated delivery time for models in the US is up to 6-8 weeks – this means that the devices are out of stock. A Bloomberg author suggested that Apple will remove the product card from its website after the presentation of the iPhone 15 series smartphones on September 12.
The American company announced the first 5.4-inch smartphone – iPhone 12 mini – in the fall of 2020. A year later, Apple introduced the iPhone 13 mini. In September 2022, the corporation released the iPhone 14 Plus with an increased display diagonal instead of another compact smartphone. At the same time, Apple left the iPhone 13 mini in its online store – the device was priced at $699, or about 68 thousand rubles.
Earlier, journalists from the publication BGR said that Apple would reduce prices on old smartphones in the fall. According to experts, popular devices in 2022 and 2021 will become cheaper – by about $100.
