Android 14 release delayed

Google has delayed the launch of the public version of Android 14, according to SamMobile.

According to journalists, IT experts and authors of specialized media expected the release of a new generation operating system on September 4 or 5, but this did not happen. The company did not name the reasons for the delay.

Famous insider Mishaal Rahman notedthat the release of the stable version of Android 14 was postponed for a month. According to his information, the OS will be presented on October 4th. On the same day, Google will be holding the Made By Google event, which will introduce the new Google Pixel 8 series smartphones.

Rahman also stressed that Google has notified manufacturers of 14 Android-compatible smartphones and asked them to wait until October. SamMobile journalists noted that usually the public version of the OS is released in early autumn and the release does not coincide with the announcement of new Pixel devices.

Google announced Android 14 in mid-May. The operating system will receive a redesign, support for 10-bit high dynamic range for the camera, and new night mode settings. In the spring, the company also released a beta version of the OS for Google Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Nothing, Tecno, Vivo, Iqoo, Realme, and Lenovo devices.
