A store shooting in Jacksonville, North Florida sparked a major security operation with authorities revealing multiple victims.
According to US media reports, the incident took place at Dollar General on Kings Road, where a gunman had holed up.
According to the report received by FOX 30, a Special Forces SWAT team was seen near the area store and engaged in a possible standoff involving an armed suspect holed up in the store.
CNN reported that Edward Waters University had issued a stay order. According to a witness, the attacker would have put on a bulletproof vest there.
It is unknown if the attacker was neutralized or committed suicide.

According to the media, details about what exactly happened are still scarce, but the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) is expected to provide an update later this afternoon.
A reporter from local outlet Action News Jax pointed out that the shooter was wearing a camo suit and that he had left a “manifesto” with a statement at his Clay County home.
“This is not acceptable. One shooting is too many, but these mass shootings are really hard to bear,” the mayor told local media, who went to the scene. (JO)
