Trump associates website hacked. They wanted to defend the former president. “America is already great”

The Donald Trump Affiliate Fund’s website has been hacked. The burglary allegedly took place on Friday, and since then the website… advises against making donations. “America is already great” – says the banner that appeared at the very top of the website.

The Patriot Legal Defense Fund is a fund whose purpose – according to the declaration – is to support former and current associates of Donald Trump. It was created at the beginning of August, and the money raised with its help is to cover … legal expenses of the creators themselves, who are involved in numerous court cases and investigations. As he wrote three weeks ago, the fund is run by Michael Glassner, a longtime political adviser to Trump, along with other people associated with the former president, but the purpose of the collection will not be to cover Trump’s own bills.

Donald Trump’s Affiliate Fund Hacked. The site advises against supporting

The existence of a fund that financially supports people entangled with Trump in numerous allegations is hugely controversial overseas. Apparently, someone decided to prevent donations to the former president’s associates and did it in a rather creative way. The site has so far encouraged people to donate and help “in defense of Donald Trump” and “his allies.”

As they write, the website has been hacked, and its content and graphics have been modified to discourage payments to the fund. The site was supposed to fall victim to a hacker or hackers as recently as last Friday, but control has apparently not been regained to date. The burglars changed the logo of Trump’s presidential campaign, crossing out his name and adding “Hey”. The slogan “Make America Great Again!” (Make America great again) changed to “America is already great!” (America is already great.) Under the banner, in turn, appeared the inscription “Do not support Donald Trump scammers”.

The hacker also changed the content of the page to a personal statement against the former president, in which he speaks about the equality of all citizens before the law. “In our country, everyone must abide by the rules, no matter who they are. Our Constitution, our nation’s great rule book, says we are all equal. No one is to be given special treatment.” the hacker wrote on the website. He adds in one of the following paragraphs that the real purpose of the Patriot Legal Defense Fund is to use citizens’ money to “defend themselves from the consequences of crime.”

According to a report published on August 13 by The Daily Beast, the “Donate” button on the Trump Associates Fund site directed to… the page of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in the 2024 election. Forbes writes that the time the domain was registered (just after the leaks to the press about the foundation of the fund) raise doubts as to whether the website of Trump’s associates was genuine at all.

Trump and his people facing charges. They are facing prison

The former president was charged with 13 counts, including violating the Organized Crime Act, conspiring to commit a forgery, testifying untruth, and inducing state officials to break their oaths. It is punishable by up to 20 years in prison. According to investigators, the defendants, along with 30 accomplices who were not charged, constituted “a criminal organization engaged in various related criminal activities”.
