Google is preparing a small revolution. AI will read the Internet so we don’t have to

Google is finishing work on a feature that will revolutionize the way we now use the web. We will no longer have to read news from the country and the world, because artificial intelligence will do it for us. And summarizes everything in a few words.

Over the past few weeks, Google has been working on a generative AI-based feature as part of its Search Generative Experience (SGE) tool. Now – as the Internet giant boasted – these works are being finalized. In the coming days, the innovation will be implemented on the devices of the first users as part of early tests.

Artificial intelligence from Google will read the messages for you

Google wants us not to have to spend time reading news from the country or the world, and spend it primarily in the world’s most popular search engine. The purpose of the tool – which Google calls “SGE while browsing” – is therefore to make short summaries of articles found on the Internet. Of course, this task will be taken care of by generative artificial intelligence, which will analyze the content of the news and prepare an appropriate summary in points.

As we can see in the screenshot provided by Google, after entering the article and clicking “generate” on the bar displayed at the bottom, the AI will display three “key points” of the material. Each of the threads will be described by the tool in a few or a dozen or so words. The more inquisitive will be able to quickly move to the summarized excerpt from the test. An interesting addition will also be the table of contents displayed below, which will allow you to quickly find the paragraph you are interested in.

Google boasts that “SGE while browsing” will allow you to “get to the bottom of what you’re looking for” even faster. The function will therefore allow you to quickly return to the search results and open another article, the summary of which will again be taken care of by artificial intelligence. However, here’s an important note: Google has announced that the tool will not work for paid articles hidden behind the so-called. paywalls.

The function is to appear first in the Google application on smartphones with Android and iOS. After that, it will also go to the Chrome browser on computers. The company started rolling out the solution on Tuesday, but the novelty is expected to gradually reach more users in the near future. To test its operation, you must first activate the SGE tool on your device.
