Alexander Kerzhakov called Arshavin the best teammate of his entire career
Former player of the Russian national football team Alexander Kerzhakov called Andrei Arshavin the best teammate of his entire career. He told RT about this.
“I won’t say that we were close friends with him, everyone had their own company behind the football field. But on the field, we understood each other from a half word and a half look, ”Kerzhakov added.
Kerzhakov is a three-time Russian champion with Zenit. Together with Arshavin, they spent nine years in the St. Petersburg team. After retiring in 2017, he coached the Russian youth team, as well as the Tom, Nizhny Novgorod and Cypriot Karmiotissa clubs, which he left two months after starting work. At the moment, he heads Spartak from Serbian Subotica.
Arshavin played for the Blue-White-Blues from 1999 to 2008 and from 2012 to 2015. As part of the club, he became the champion of Russia three times, and also won the UEFA Cup and Super Cup in 2008. Arshavin also played for London’s Arsenal, Krasnodar’s Kuban and Kazakhstan’s Kairat.
