Xiaomi 14 will receive the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship chip and will be released in November
Xiaomi has scheduled the release of a new flagship smartphone at the end of autumn. A well-known insider Digital Chat Station reports this on his Weibo blog.
According to the specialist, the Chinese corporation will introduce new flagship devices in November. A distinctive feature of Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro devices will be the presence of a top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The author said that Qualcomm will introduce the chip in October – thus, Xiaomi will be one of the first to use the new generation processor in their gadgets.
The specialist noted that Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have a new core architecture. According to the disclosed specifications, the processor will receive a main Cortex-X4 core, five Cortex-A720 cores and two Cortex-A520 cores. The chip will be equipped with an Adreno 750 graphics accelerator.
Digital Chat Station also noted that Xiaomi 14 will receive a new 4860 milliamp-hour battery with 90-watt fast charging and support for 50-watt wireless charging. Xiaomi 14 Pro will come with a 5000 milliamp-hour battery – the device will support 120-watt wired fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging.
The current flagship Xiaomi 13 was introduced in December 2022. The device received a 6.36-inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a triple camera with a resolution of 50, 12 and 10 megapixels.
