The only payment to be made after a job offer is the work visa processing.
The fee is $190 and is made at bank windows to official US government accounts. “Payments are not made by electronic transfer or in stores,” says the consulate in Monterrey.
The U.S. Representative recommends that job postings that require deposits into personal accounts for insurance or airline tickets be distrustful and ask that no personal information or documents be shared with recruiters.
