Blogger PhoneBuff compared the strength of flagship smartphones from Apple and Samsung. The corresponding video is published on the YouTube channel of the author.
The drop test, in which the enthusiast dropped the iPhone 14 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra on a stone plate, consisted of four rounds. In the first, the author threw both smartphones with the back panel down – as a result, the Apple device received noticeable cracks, and the Samsung device was almost not affected. Then the blogger dropped the phones in such a way that they hit the side frame. A large dent has formed on the side of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which received aluminum frames.
As part of the third stage, the specialist threw both devices with the screen down and stated that the front panel of the smartphones was covered with cracks. At the end, the blogger threw the gadgets onto a hard surface from a height of human height and wrote down his impressions. Both devices were heavily damaged, but continued to work.
According to the results of the test, PhoneBuff said that the flagship from Samsung was more durable than Apple’s phone. The enthusiast noted that the device of the Korean brand has a stronger back panel.
In mid-February, blogger Zach Nelson tested the strength of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The author tried to burn the display with fire and break the phone in half, but the device did not receive significant damage.
