A 35-year-old man of Ecuadorian descent has been arrested in a Barcelona municipality after being accused of sexually assaulting his three underage nieces.
The arrest took place in Vilanova y Geltrú and is currently at the disposal of the authorities. Authorities said the man sexually assaulted minors who were then 11, 13 and 16 years old between 2016 and 2022.
To commit the abuses, he gave them alcohol and waited for them to sleep. The investigation has begun, he said Spanish mediaafter the mother’s complaint in a Madrid unit in early 2023.
Initial investigations have shown that the assaults took place at the man’s home in Vilanova y la Geltrú, when he took advantage of his nieces’ visits on holiday. The latest abuse allegedly took place last December.
The minors reported waking up with no clothes on and with pain in their private parts.
