Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to consider by June 30 the issue of improving the system of providing psychological assistance, including to refugees and military personnel. This is stated in the message on the Kremlin website.
The instructions were given following the meeting of the President with the participants of the II Congress of Young Scientists.
“Taking into account the previous instructions, to consider the issue of improving the system of providing psychological assistance and psychological support to the population, paying particular attention to the provision of such assistance and support to refugees and internally displaced persons, including children and adolescents, as well as the implementation of systematic work to treat the consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder among military personnel and members of their families, including the development of an appropriate methodological framework and the organization of professional retraining and advanced training for specialists in the field of psychology, ”the published document says.
After the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, the proportion of Russians in need of psychological assistance increased to 15%, follows from the November poll of the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM). Putin spoke about this in December. According to him, in Russia 15% of the population needs psychological help, while among young people – 35%.
An increase in the number of clients with complaints of increased anxiety was also recorded by psychologists. The level of anxiety also increased after September 21, when a partial mobilization was announced in the country, the psychological assistance centers surveyed by RBC indicated.
After the start of the special operation, the authorities of the regions announced additional support measures for the families of the mobilized, including the provision of psychological assistance to them.
