Apple Invents Face ID for Health

Appleinsider: Apple patents biometric health monitoring system

An Apple patent for a medical biometric system has been found online. This is reported by Appleinsider.

The description of the document, published on the website of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), refers to the structure of the future system. The inventors proposed to scan various parts of the user’s body, upload it to the system and analyze it using special programs.

Apple engineers describe the invention as a device similar to the Face ID biometric sensor that can scan the user and monitor his health. The results of the analysis will be uploaded to the proprietary application “Health” on the iPhone or iPad.

According to the creators of the system, for monitoring, the user does not have to completely scan himself – enough of the face and some other parts of the body. “Because adipose tissue tends to be deposited in certain fat pockets, such as the cheeks and neck, these areas may be more indicative of body composition calculations than others,” Apple engineers explained.

In September 2022, an Apple patent for a display for foldable devices was discovered online. The company’s engineers described the design of the front panel, which would retain its properties after a long period of use.
