A Helium balloon It is on its way to being the low cost version of visits to the ends of our planet. the japanese company Iwaya Inc he’s about to actually do it. The project that he has recently presented would make it possible to “democratize space experiences”, in statements by its president, Keisure Iwaya.

Extensive training would not be necessary. Nor would it be too expensive. The trip would cost about 7,000 euro in the future. “The goal is to make trips to space in a balloon and we are very close to making it a reality,” added the president. The drum-shaped capsule has 1.5 meters in diameter and it is made of plastic. It has capacity for a pilot and a passenger.

It rises for two hours to the 25 kilometers altitude, where you can already see the curve of the Earth. These views could be enjoyed for an hour, during which time the capsule would remain stopped before returning to Earth.

Iwaya has already opened the application period to make these trips to the stratosphere. They will continue until the end of August.
