M.Video-Eldorado: Russians named smartphones and PCs as their favorite gadgets

The Russians called the most necessary gadgets in life. This was reported in a press release from the M.Video-Eldorado group, received by the editors of Lenta.ru.

According to company representatives, on the eve of Valentine’s Day, a survey was conducted on the topic of which equipment Russians consider the most necessary in their lives. In the first place were smartphones, which were chosen by 36 percent of respondents. Also, among the main devices, Russians named PCs and laptops – 26 percent, headphones and smart watches – nine percent, coffee machines – five percent, washing machines – also five percent, TVs – four percent.

The majority of respondents said that they would like to receive various equipment as a gift – 82 percent of consumers answered this way. 25 percent reported that they would like to receive a smartphone for the holiday, 11 percent – small kitchen appliances, nine percent – accessories for a mobile device, seven percent – smart speakers with a voice assistant.

On average, the Russians who participated in the survey are ready to spend 5,000 rubles on a gift. The survey also revealed that men are more willing to buy expensive gifts – among Russians who are going to spend more than 5 thousand rubles, there are 10 percent more men than women. About four percent of respondents planned a gift worth more than 10 thousand rubles.

Research firm Gartner said earlier that shipments of smartphones and PCs in 2023 will reach a ten-year low. According to experts, the supply of phones will be reduced by four percent, to 1.34 billion units.
