Samsung will raise the price of its flagships

Samsung Galaxy S23 will be more expensive than last year’s flagship

Samsung plans to raise the price of its Galaxy S23 smartphones. This writes The Verge with reference to the German insider Roland Quandt (Roland Quandt).

According to an insider, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will become more expensive than last year’s flagship in some European countries. So, the base Galaxy S23 model with a 128 GB drive in Spain will cost 959 euros (about 72 thousand rubles), while last year’s Galaxy S22 cost 859 euros (about 65 thousand rubles). The most expensive model of the line – Galaxy S23 Ultra – will cost 1589 euros (120 thousand rubles). Galaxy S22 Ultra at the start of sales cost 1459 euros (110 thousand rubles).

In the Czech Republic, the new Samsung smartphone will cost even more – from 986 euros. According to Quandt, prices in different countries can differ by several tens of euros, depending on local laws. So, in Denmark, the cheapest version of S23 will rise in price by 175 euros (about 13 thousand rubles), and S23 Ultra will be more expensive by 440 euros (33 thousand rubles).

At the same time, according to 9to5Google, prices in the US will not change and the Galaxy S23 will cost the same as the Galaxy S22 cost – $ 800 (55 thousand rubles) for the base model, $ 1000 (70 thousand rubles) for the S23 Plus and $ 1200 ( 83 thousand rubles) for S23 Ultra.

The presentation of the new line of Samsung flagships will take place on February 1. According to sources, the smartphone will receive from eight gigabytes of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
