TikTok got banned. The US House of Representatives is banned from using the Chinese app

So far, 19 out of 50 states have at least partially blocked access to TikTok on government computers. However, some members of Congress believe that the app should be banned nationwide.

TikTok previously issued a statement expressing its disappointment that “so many states are succumbing to the political fashion to pursue policies based on baseless lies.”

TikTok has changed its privacy policy

. Users who wish to continue using the application must consent to remote access to their personal data by service personnel worldwide, including China. The United States, fearing for security, is considering cutting off access to TikTok throughout the country.

Negotiations have been underway between US officials and TikTok regarding the national security pact for months. In the United States, the Chinese application is used by over 100 million users.
