French police search homes of cyclists and staff of the Bahrain-Victorious team | Other Sports | Sports

The police carried out this Monday home records of some cyclists and staff members of Bahrain Victorious in eve of the start of the Tour de Francea team that was already the object of a similar operation a year ago for suspected doping.

In a statement, the formation stated that these records represent the continuation of the investigation which opened during last year’s French round, that “did not give results”and complained about the damage it causes to its image and that of its components.

“The team believes that the moment of this investigation is intended to intentionally damage the reputation of the team”, he complained, after insisting that he cooperates “constructively” in all procedures and with all competent institutions.

Above all, he criticized that the Marseille Prosecutor’s Office that deals with the caseor has not given you access to the investigations during all this timewhen information was leaked to the press that, according to their reading, showed that no illicit substances were found in last year’s records.

In last year’s Tour, registrations were held at the hotel in Pau in which the members of Bahrain-Victorious were staying.

In this year’s edition, which starts next Friday in Copehnague with the first three stages on Danish territory, the riders selected by the team are Damiano Caruso, Kamil Gradek, Jack Haig, Matej Mohoric, Dylan Teuns, Jan Tratnik, Luis Leon Sanchez and Fred Wright. (D)
