The head of the FTR Shamil Tarpishchev called the removal of the Russians from Wimbledon a violation of human rights

The head of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF), Shamil Tarpishchev, commented on the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in Wimbledon. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Tarpishchev called the decision of the organizers of the tournament a violation of human rights. He added that the FTR will send appeals of a legal nature to all possible instances. Tarpishchev stressed that foreign athletes and organizations made a negative assessment of the removal of the Russians.

Earlier, the first racket of the world Novak Djokovic condemned the position of the organizers of Wimbledon. He considered the decision to be insane.

The decision to remove Russians and Belarusians from participation in Wimbledon became known on April 20. At the same time, the Association of Tennis Professionals condemned the organizers.
