Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko spoke about plans for a farewell fight. It is reported by TASS.
The athlete said he wants to fight for the Bellator championship belt. “The rating allows me to have the last fight for the title. In May, there will be a duel between Cheick Kongo and Ryan Bader, I would like to fight with one of them, ”said Emelianenko.
According to the athlete, the fight can take place in August. Emelianenko also expressed regret that the fight could not be held in Russia.
On October 23, 2021, Emelianenko fought against Timothy Johnson at the first ever Bellator tournament in Moscow. The fight ended with the victory of the Russian heavyweight by knockout in the first round. In total, the 45-year-old Russian had 46 fights under the rules of MMA. In 39 fights he won, lost six times. Another fight with his participation was declared invalid.
