The Spring BLAST Premier Showdown was NKT’s first appearance at an international tournament of the highest rank. The Asian five could not take part in the tournament from their own homes, when they had to compete with the European teams. The Thai organization has therefore temporarily moved to Katowice. This had to do with considerable complications, however, as they had not been given a good place to play.
There were six of them in one room. Old computers were at their disposal
NKT players went to a weak place prepared to the current standards. While in many countries – including Poland – there are special homes for esport bootcamps, the Asian team struggled with extraordinary crampedness.
The entire spa team of six people in one room on three floors. Perhaps it was manageable, but the biggest problem was the poor equipment they received. According to Anthony “ImpressioN” Lim, his team played on outdated machines that were several years old. They clearly lowered the expected quality of the game, bringing the number of FPS to 200, while at home the players usually had 400 of them.

The computers prevented NKT from doing any more preparation just before the game they played against the Heroics. The Thai organization lost the game 0: 2. The result was no surprise, but the team even had a chance to tear one map from the Danish giant. It was close, and Nuke would drop into NKT’s account. Ultimately, despite leading in the endgame, it was Heroic that scored, thus closing the series.
It is difficult to say who is to blame for the problems of NKT. It is very possible that the organization had failed to get the last button done, and then it was too late for a specific reaction. From where, however, I will not break down. “ImpressioN” hopes that his team will show what they have done and will try to restore their reputation for Asia in the CS: GO esports reality. For years, their continent has hardly counted in the international arena. Players would also like to move to Europe for a long time, as it would give them a much better development opportunity.
