Ural President Grigory Ivanov called for the preservation of state funding for RPL clubs
Ural President Grigory Ivanov shared his opinion on state funding of Russian Premier League (RPL) clubs. This is reported by the “Rating of Bookmakers”.
Ivanov advocated the preservation of state funding for Russian clubs. He drew attention to the fact that even the leaders of domestic football depend on state support. “Why should the conditional Russian Railways pay salaries of 500 million rubles? The owner is a bard. They have a board of directors, they make decisions,” Ivanov said.
Earlier, Rostov midfielder Daniil Glebov spoke about a possible reduction in salaries in the RPL. The football player expressed the opinion that his teammates will meet the leadership, if necessary.
On March 16, Match TV reported that Krasnodar players had agreed to a pay cut. For some players, the salary should have been reduced by two or three times.
