WC in Oberstdorf. Five Poles in the second series, a great form of Kraft

The biggest surprise during the competition was the poor form of Halvor Egner Granerud, who scored 189.5 m and only took 35th place. The Austrian Stefan Kraft was definitely the best in Saturday’s competition, with jumps of 232 and 207 m, thus ahead of the two Slovenes – Ziga Jelar and Timi Zajc. Ryoyu Kobayashi remains the leader of the overall World Cup with 55 points ahead of Karl Geiger.

As many as five Poles were promoted to the second competition series. This is the first such situation since March 28 last year and the competition in Planica, which was noted by Adam Bucholz, journalist of the portal skijumping.pl. Piotr Żyła finished fifth in the top ten. Perhaps Kamil Stoch would have had a chance to stay in the TOP 10, but the judges decided to change the beam after a great jump. Stoch, Dawid Kubacki, Jakub Wolny and Andrzej Stękała finished the competition on the 12th, 18th, 25th and 26th place.
