Officially: Poland did not submit a letter to FIVB. What about the World Cup?

Now it turns out, however, that Poland has not submitted an official declaration on this matter to the FIVB. – Even before this process, we submitted an official letter in which we informed that we are ready to help the FIVB in organizing the World Cup. And we stopped there – said Szyszko in an interview with PAP.

– The fact that we have not officially put forward our candidacy does not mean that we are excluded from this process and we have lost the chance to organize – claims the spokesman. According to the Polish Press Agency, on Monday, President Sebastian Świderski talked with representatives of the world federation about the volleyball World Cup.

– We may be a step ahead in terms of our knowledge, but there are still few details. We do not know whether the event will take place in one country or several. There is also the question of the date of the event and its new format – explained Mariusz Szyszko. Everything seems to indicate that he does not want to organize this event alone.

Let us remind you that the tournament was originally supposed to be organized by Russia, but it lost such an opportunity after the invasion of Ukrainian troops. The tournament was to be held at the turn of August and September in 10 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Yaroslav, Kazan, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kemerov and Krasnoyarsk.
