The Tumbaco Antonio Valencia AV25 is the new club that is already part of the teams affiliated to the Pichincha Non-Amateur Soccer Association (AFNA).
“Today is a special day, to be able to register the name of my team Tumbaco Antonio Valencia AV25 and to be able to transmit my experience to future generations of Ecuadorian soccer boys,” the former player of Ecuador wrote on his Twitter account (@anto_v25). The National, Liga de Quito, from Ecuador; Villarreal FC and Recreativo de Huelva, from Spain; Wigan Athletic, Man Utd, of English football; and the selection of Ecuador.
AFNA on its social networks announced the registration of the new team and on Twitter (@AFNAPichincha) published: “We are happy to announce the Tumbaco Antonio Valencia AV25 club as a new participant in our promotion tournament”.
In the @Tumbacol account, identified as an independent media outlet for society and culture in the Valley of Tumbaco, he welcomed the new club. “Former player Antonio Valencia registered his football team Tumbaco Antonio Valencia AV25 in the AFNA. With this, the team will be able to play matches to go up in category and be professional. Antonio started this initiative as a project for young people”.
The registration of Toño’s team took place on March 10 and he will now be able to participate in the Second Category Provincial Championship of Pichincha, who will look for his two representatives for the promotion zone. (D)
