“The Reims and Maiky de la Cruz thing is practically done,” Jorge Callejas, the soccer leader of the training divisions in the Quito League, said on Wednesday, confirming that there is a negotiation between the team from the LigaPro Serie A of Ecuador and the one from French Ligue 1.
In statements to the Quito radio station FB Radio 105.7 FMCallejas revealed: “We are only fixing economic issues and this will be defined in the coming days.”

Maiky Jordan de la Cruz Borja, 17, works as a defender and left back. In 2021 he signed to be part of the professional team of Liga de Quito. However, the one born in 2004 played mainly in minor categories and was crowned national champion with the sub-18 category in 2021.
He is represented by the national agency Kancha Agency.
De la Cruz has not made his debut this 2022 in the LigaPro Serie A championship. His name does not appear on the League game sheets nor has he been considered for this Thursday’s Copa Sudamericana 2022 match against Mushuc Runa.
The social channels of Liga de Quito have not issued any statement regarding the transfer of De la Cruz to Stade de Reims. (D)
