Justyna ¦wiêty-Ersetiæ proved on Sunday that during this indoor season she is in a great shape. The Olympic champion from Tokyo won the gold medal at 400 meters.
Great fight of the “Anio³ków”. ¦śty-Ersetiæ with the Polish record
Victory, however, did not come so easily. Polish runners represent a very high level at this distance, so it was known that the competition would be fierce. Perfectly disposed Anna Kie³basiñska and Natalia Kaczmarek fought until the end, but in the last finishing straight she did not give the rivals a chance.
The joy of the title of the national champion was even greater as the time stopped at 51.04 seconds. This means that Saint-Ersetiæ set a new indoor record for Poland. A month ago, the best result in the country was set by 51.10 s. Now the silver medalist ran in 51.20 s. Kaczmarek won the bronze circle with 51.24 s.
Polish runners are currently in the lead of the fastest in the world. This season, Femke Bol had the best time in the hall. The Dutch woman ran 400 m in 50.30 s. The second on the list of results is Russian Polina Miller (50.71 s), and the third American Alexis Holmes (50.77 s).
Justyna ¦wiêty-Ersetiæ is fifth on the list of the best results this season with the Polish record. Behind her is Anna Kie³basiñska with the previous country record. The seventh place is taken by 51.15 seconds. – The angels probably in the form of the gold indoor M¦ in the relay race (Belgrade, March 18-20) – noted £ ukasz Jachimiak from Sport.pl.
