After repeated injuries, Sergio Ramos could leave PSG at the end of the season

The marriage between defender Sergio Ramos and Paris Saint-Germain has yet to give a league. According to information from the journalist Fabrizio Romanothe French club is studying the possibility of getting rid of the defender at the end of this season.

Ramos arrived at PSG as one of the main reinforcements aiming at the unprecedented conquest of the Champions League. However, the Spaniard’s injuries left him out of action for most of the season, meaning he still hasn’t debuted in European competition.

The veteran is sure to miss for this Saturday’s duel, against Nice, for the French Championship. Due to a calf injury, the athlete has been doing individual work and returned to running on the lawn this week.

This Friday, coach Mauricio Pochettino admitted that he hopes to count on the player for the decisive clash of the Champions League, against Real Madrid, which takes place this Wednesday.

“We will see in the next few days. He still hasn’t returned to training with the group. But his experience is important after 17 years at Real Madrid. He can give good advice to his teammates, playing or not. The contribution of injured and suspended players is important. In this type of game, every detail is important”, said the coach.

Recently, the club’s sporting director, Leonardo, revealed his disappointment with the signing of Sergio Ramos so far.

“He was physically fine when we hired him. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen as we thought. It’s difficult for him, for everyone. The day we say he can’t play anymore, it will be clear to everyone. But it’s not the case. Let’s wait before jumping to conclusions, the season is not over”, said the Brazilian.

The journalist stressed that PSG will not make any “hotheaded” decisions. The team wants to wait for the end of this season to decide the future of the Spaniard.

Sergio Ramos was signed by Paris Saint-Germain following the end of his relationship with Real Madrid. The defender has signed a two-year contract but has only played five games this season so far.
