Referees and schedules defined for the debut of Ecuadorian clubs in Copa Sudamericana

The Ecuadorian clubs will begin on March 9 their participation in South American Cupwith two series that will face October 9, Quito League, Mushuc Runa and Delfin SCaccording to the order reached in the accumulated table of the LigaPro 2021.

Conmebol announced the fixture of the competitionwhich in its first phase includes 16 round trip keys to find the clubs qualified for the group stage.

The series between Ecuadorians will face Mushuc Runa and League on March 9 at the Bellavista stadium (19:30), while the rematch was scheduled for March 16, at the same time at the Rodrigo Paz stadium, in Quito.

Wednesday’s game will have arbitration of the Colombian Carlos Betancur, assisted by his compatriots David Fuentes and Richard Ortiz. The fourth referee will be Andrés Rojas and the advisor, the Ecuadorian José Lara.

In the other Ecuadorian series, Delfin SC receives Thursday March 10 to October 9 (19:30), with the rematch a week later at the Modelo Alberto Spencer stadium.

Colombian Carlos Ortega will command the refereeing team in the jocay stadium, assisted by Alexander Guzmán and John León. The fourth arbitrator will be Nicolás Gallo, with arbitration advice from the Ecuadorian Juan Albarracín.

This first phase of the tournament faces 32 clubswith four representatives from Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The 16 winners qualify for the group stagewhere they will join 12 clubs from Argentina (6) and Brazil (6) and the 4 teams losers of the keys of the phase 3 of the Copa Libertadores. (D)
