Toni Kroos is doubtful for the game of Real Madrid against Paris Saint Germainthrough the Champions League, on Wednesday. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that the midfielder will not face Real Sociedad this Saturday.
In the Spanish capital, Real have the task of reversing the 1-0 defeat suffered in the first leg against PSG, away from home, on Wednesday. However, Kroos may be out of the duel, as he felt discomfort, apparently in his tendons.
Ancelotti said the athlete needs “five or six days” to recover, while teammate Fede Valverde has had a fever in recent days and will also not be available against Real Sociedad in The League.
“Valverde and Kroos are not available for tomorrow,” Captain Ancelotti said at a press conference on Friday.
“Valverde has no problem being on the field on Wednesday and I don’t think Kroos does either, because it’s a very small problem that I think will be resolved soon. They trained until recently and I don’t think they will lose their physical condition in these few days,” he added.
Real Madrid are isolated at the top of the national tournament, six points ahead of Sevilla. Real Sociedad occupies the sixth position, one point behind the Barcelona (4th), despite having played one more game than the Catalan club.
