A week has just passed since the Russian troops invaded other areas of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin’s soldiers are attacking civilians and destroying residential neighborhoods, but the Ukrainians are bravely resisting. And although the war will rebound on the Polish economy, and at the same time, the arrival of many refugees awaits us, according to experts – Poles do not have to fear direct war. The main advantage of Poland over Ukraine is the fact that we belong to NATO, the largest military alliance in history. But this does not mean that people in Poland are not afraid of war. For example, Danielle Drews, a volleyball player from Grupa Azoty Chemik Police, who decided to return to the United States.

She returned to her homeland, although the club did not allow her to do so. “Danielle Drews left Poland and, without any excuse, left for the United States. The volleyball player said that due to the war in Ukraine she wants to return to the US” – we read in the club statement.

The club assured the American born in 1999 that she was safe in Poland, but from February 26, Drews did not appear in the club. The host informed her friends in the Whatsapp messaging group about her departure. On Saturday, the day after she failed to show up for compulsory training, she flew to the United States.

“She did not listen to our advice and assurances. We will refer the matter to the World Volleyball Federation (FiVB) and the US Volleyball Federation (USA Volleyball). 2023 – says the Chemist.
