Juventus in talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Morata permanently

A Juventus negotiate a lower price with the Atletico Madrid for the definitive acquisition of Álvaro Morata. According to the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sportthe Italian club will try to lower the starting price, stipulated at 35 million euros (R$ 202.5 million).

Hired by the Spanish team in 2020, for the same figures, the striker is linked to the mattresses only until June 2023. This is a factor that, according to the aforementioned publication, could facilitate the definitive purchase at a lower price.

According to the website Transfermarktthe Spanish striker was loaned to Juventus in September 2020 for €20 million (R$115.6 million currently).

Last season, Morata recorded good numbers on Italian soil: 44 games, 20 goals and 12 assists. In the current one, he had a drop in his performance: he played 35 matches, scored eight times and made seven other decisive passes.

In addition, Morata’s space as the absolute starter of Massimiliano Allegri’s team could be impacted. This was due to the arrival of the Dusan Vlahovic jewel, purchased from Fiorentina for 81.6 million euros (R$ 472.2 million) in January. The 21-year-old Serb has already scored four goals and provided an assist in his first six games for the new club.
