One was the Bayern Munich captain’s armband, as Lewandowski was captain of the German champions in the absence of Thomas Mueller and Manuel Neuer. On the other arm, in turn, there was a yellow-blue band in the colors of Ukraine. This, of course, was an expression of support for Russia’s aggression against their country.
After the meeting, he commented briefly on Twitter. – As an athlete, I cannot pretend that nothing is happening – wrote the captain of the Polish national team with the publication of his photo with the mentioned armband.
His gesture did not pass without noticing. The Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk praised the captain on Twitter. – Thank you, Robert Lewandowski. Thank you Bayern Munich – they wrote in the post.
