Eibar sign Fernando Llorente

The Eibar announced this Wednesday that he has reached a preliminary agreement with the former player of the Athletic Fernando Llorente to sign him until the end of the season pending a medical examination.

From the gunsmith club they have indicated that the player, who arrives free, is undergoing several medical tests in the official medical insurer of the team.

The player would cover the loss left by the Argentine player Franchu Feuillassier, seriously injured last week, since he suffers a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, which will keep him in dry dock for six to seven months, thus losing everything for the remainder of the season.

The signing of Llorente will reinforce Eibar’s offensive line, which currently occupies the second position in the Second qualifying table and has been on a streak of ten consecutive games without losing.

Llorente can contribute his seniority to the gunsmith team. Born in 1985, he is currently 36 years old and in his long career he has been active in the Athletic, Juventus, Sevilla, Swansea, Tottehanm Hostpur, Naples and Udinese.

He has also been called up with the Spanish senior team on several occasions and became part of the team that won the only World Cup in Spain, the one achieved in South Africa in 2010.

With his arrival, Eibar improves its squad even more. Llorente becomes the fifteenth signing of the gunsmith club of the 2021-22 season.
