Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko told the details of negotiations with the head of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Dana White. The video of the interview was published on Sergey Lodyga’s YouTube channel.
The 45-year-old heavyweight is convinced he would have competed in the UFC if White had “had the will.” According to Emelianenko, the promoter made a big mistake when he refused to take to the UFC not only the heavyweight, but also other representatives of his team.
“I said: this is my team. I am ready to discuss both the contract and the amount of fees. They answered me harshly that they were only interested in me, ”Emelianenko described the negotiations with the UFC. He noted that this was a turning point in communication with White. Emelianenko also admitted that he was hearing rumors about White’s desire to organize at least one fight with his participation.
On October 23, Emelianenko played for the first time since December 2019. The fight with the participation of the Russian heavyweight led the Bellator tournament in Moscow. Emelianenko knocked out American Timothy Johnson in the first round.
