The Peine del Viento de San Sebastián space, Eduardo Chillida’s sculptural ensemble, will be rehabilitated to adapt the slope, the ground and the parapet, as announced this Tuesday by the mayor of San Sebastián, Eneko Goia.
The execution of these works is reflected in the budget project prepared by the municipal executive, which includes an investment of 400,000 euros in 2022 and another 400,000 euros in 2023 for the rehabilitation of this emblematic enclave.
Goia explained that the works will be carried out in three phases, since first work will be done on the slope, later on the ground to attenuate the roughness of the pavement and, finally, on the adaptation of the petrile that borders the sea.
The mayor explained that the execution of the work requires a prior procedure that consists of requesting Costas to renew the concession of this public space, which has expired.
