The first Saturday’s game of the 22nd round of the league was a clash between two teams looking for a second win in a row. Jagiellonia, which is doing very weakly at the beginning of the round (without Imaz, Romanczuk, Puerto, Runje or Bida), wanted to follow the blow after the last win in Zabrze over Górnik 2: 1. Cracovia, on the other hand, still did not believe that after good home matches with Lech (3: 3) and Lechia (2: 0) she would also be able to score points away.
The game in Białystok, however, did not bring much emotions, especially in the very colorless first half, when both teams fired just one shot at the opponent’s goal. However, the shot of the Cracovia pendulum Kamil Pestka from a dozen or so meters did not bring any problems to Zlatan Alomerović, just like a moment later, a shot from a distance of Martin Pospisil was surely caught by Karol Niemczycki. In addition, Bogdan Tiru’s spectacular tipping attempt soared over the bar of the visitors’ goal. Until the break there was a goalless draw, and it was more interesting than on the pitch in the stands, where fans, as during each first home match in the calendar year, celebrated the “Feast of Ultra”, the stands of the most ardent supporters of the Białystok club.
The second part of the meeting began with a huge confusion in the penalty area of Jagiellonia, from which Jaga’s defense, headed by Zlatan Alomerovic, was victorious. Later, the hosts were more active – after a well-played free kick he missed the ball in front of Pasów’s goal and it minimally missed the post, and then Michał Nalepa tried to defeat Karol Niemczycki twice, but once, after Jagiellonia’s consistent action, he hit from 16 meters very inaccurately, and with on the second occasion, he shot too lightly from a distance for Niemczycki to be surprised.
she responded in the 70th minute with a good counterattack, after which Michał Rakoczy hit only the side net. After a while, in an accidental situation, the youth of Cracovia again found himself before the chance to open the result of the match, but this time he also sent the ball past the goal.
At the very end of the excellent situation, Otar Kakabadze did not take advantage of the winning goal, as he made a mistake by literally centimeters after the consistent action of “Belts”. In response, Michał Nalepa hit over the crossbar from a free kick and the game in Białystok ended in a goalless draw.
Thanks to this point, Cracovia already has 31 of them in total and advanced to the sixth place in the table. Jagiellonia is tenth with 28 points.
