Russian long jumper Daria Klishina announced her pregnancy. She announced this on her Instagram page.
The athlete posted a photo in a swimsuit, which shows a rounded belly. “You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach or when Valentine’s Day went well and Cupid hit the target,” she captioned the picture.
The photo got more than 9,000 likes in just a few hours. Users were happy for the athlete and wrote a lot of nice comments. In particular, synchronized swimmer Svetlana Romashina, high jumper Maria Lasitskene and sports journalist Pavel Zanozin congratulated Klishina on the upcoming replenishment.
In December 2021, Klishina stated that she was not sure she would return to Russia. The athlete has been living in the United States for eight years. According to her, she already perceives the United States as a home. “But I come to Russia with great pleasure and try to do it as often as possible,” added Klishina.
At the summer 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Klishina failed to reach the finals of the long jump tournament. During the qualification, the jumper was injured and was forced to leave the stadium in a wheelchair.
